The property

Curlew House has been recently refurbished and is a modern townhouse in Whitby, offering Abbey views, private parking and a central location close to the town’s shops, harbour and beach.

This upside-down layout works particularly well here, as it gives the main living area some of the best views towards Whitby Abbey. In warmer weather, the double doors can be opened up to make even more of the setting.

The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals and longer stays, with everything you need for cooking and dining in. The bedrooms are spread across the lower floors, with a king-size room on the ground floor, a double room on the first floor, and a bunk bedroom that works well for children. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, plus a separate shower room for extra convenience.

Outside, the property has patio and garden space to both the front and rear, giving you somewhere to sit out and enjoy a bit of sun after a day in town or by the coast. Curlew House sits in Bagdale, one of the older parts of Whitby, directly opposite Pannett Park and within easy walking distance of the town centre.

The harbour, independent shops, cafes, restaurants and cobbled streets of the old town are all close by, and the 199 steps up to the Abbey are within easy reach too. The beach is around a 15-minute walk away, making this a good base for guests who want to enjoy both the town and the coast without constantly relying on the car.

Whitby train station is only around 5 minutes away on foot, and there are good bus links to surrounding villages and towns along the Yorkshire Coast. This is a strong location for guests who want a central stay with good access to everything Whitby is known for.
